It has to be one using the halo scythe IIRC. I farmed a hour for their chest last night and got 7 thrusting swords and 3 scythes before i got the chest. I made sure to farm specifically to the one carrying the Halo, but it seems like they all only drop the Sword no matter what they're carrying.
