first check to see if the dvd slipped into the player incorrectly.. my child inserted a dvd into the player. it went onto of the slot.. i took a butter knife to slip the dvd out, of course messed up the dvd but was able to get it out.. if not you can open up the player and get it out not very hard. hope this helps good luck.
